i felt like trying something new, i never draw landscapes really - i could definitely use more practice with this kind of thing but i think it's ok
i was thinking about how pixel art can be kind of like...impressionistic? is that the right word? because it's so small sometimes you're just putting blobs of pixels to try to represent something...hm hm hm
i should try to think about shadows and how light might reflect on water more

today's pixel art:
worked with 80X80 canvas
today i tried to take more time working on the shading
i watched a video yesterday by Pixel Overload that i think had some good tips:
i definitely wanna work on trying not to "pancake" when i color, i can see how that makes stuff look too flat!
i'd also like to try hue shifting out

today's pixel art:
wanted to try to make buttons that have 'unpressed' and 'pressed' versions
worked with 75X75 canvas
i think the flower/star shape of them is ok but i'm not super satisfied with the colors, i need to learn color theory lol
if anyone wants to use them - feel free!

today's pixel art:
tried out a 128X128 canvas
kinda wondering if i should've used a different color from pure black for the outline
hoppip looks...interesting lol, i tried
i keep just trying to make things that i have around my desk...wonder what else i should try?
maybe next time i'll try animating again

today's pixel art:
tried out a 64X64 canvas
worked on shading
still turned out to be smaller than i want, but better than yesterday

today's pixel art:
got more familiar with Aseprite
worked with 32X32 canvas
realizing now maybe that's too small afterall, will try a larger canvas tomorrow
please enjoy this laughably tiny tamagotchi lol

today's pixel art:
started this log
tried making a little bunny animation on a 32×32 canvas in Procreate
exporting was tricky - i wanted it to be 32X32, but had to make it much bigger to export it without blurriness
remembered Aseprite and installed it on my computer
my new plan is to make the pixel art in Aseprite or Pixquare and just use Procreate for other things/concepts!
